Many of us feel stuck and alone – like there’s nothing we can do about climate change

Years of misinformation and lack of leadership have left us without clarity on this issue. Our personal powerlessness is mirrored by corporate and governmental inaction. While we continue to be environmentally conscious, and do things like recycling, it doesn’t seem to be making a big difference. Something is missing. What’s needed now more than ever is a shift in the way we relate to the issue. 

What’s missing is the simple idea, “WE CAN DO IT”

Many of us are resigned to the idea that there’s nothing we can do. “We can solve climate change” is a remedy for inaction and defeatist thinking. It is THE next step in society’s evolving thought. And it opens the door for our creative abilities to create solutions. Without it, it is almost impossible to create meaningful change. With it, we empower ourselves to possibility and action. This was the way Kennedy rallied the nation around the goal of landing a man on the moon. 

Not wishful thinking but empowerment

The cornerstone of a vision of solving climate change is the idea that it is possible to do so, and we can create this vision for ourselves. “We can solve climate change,” is not wishful thinking, but an affirmation of possibility inspired by personal responsibility. Rightly understood it has the power change the world.
